Moby's Vegan Restaurant

Singer-songwriter and 27-year vegan Moby is joining forces with Anne Thornton, chef and the host of the Food Network show “Dessert First,” to bring a new restaurant into L.A.’s nexus of hipsterdom known as Silver Lake. Their vegan restaurant, Little Pine, is set to open this summer—first with dinner service and ultimately offering food all day long.

A quick look at the upcoming menu shows some strong contenders: mushroom leek pot pie, roasted cauliflower “steak,” lemon mint pea pate, and roasted beet salad with arugula and pea shoots, among other mouth-watering combinations. The decor is sounds lovely as well; the walls will be papered with black-and-white forest shots taken by the songwriter himself. (One can only wonder what the soundtrack will be…)

The location will also offer a retail side selling everything from vegan cookbooks and kitchen supplies to artisanal ingredients.
