Cour Royale

TIME : 2016/2/16 18:31:36

More than 450 people live in Tiébélé's royal court, a large compound of typical sukhalas . Children live with their grandparents in eight-shaped huts, couples in rectangular huts and single people in square ones. Painting is generally done in February/March, after the harvest. Each drawing (geometrical or illustrative) has a meaning (fertility, afterlife, wisdom etc).
