The park office of Garden Castle is 30km west of Underberg – carry along the road past Khotso Horsetrails.
This reserve incorporates beautiful Bushman’s Nek Valley, dominated by the 3051m Rhino Peak. The area has many sandstone buttresses and rock-art sites and a good (long) day walk.
Overnight hikers can use trail huts, campsites or even caves; check on their status before departing.
