Heritage Museum

If you are looking for a unique, out of the way experience the Heritage Museum, nestled in a wooded area on the edge of the New Territories is worth the trek. The museum focuses on the art, culture and history of the New Territories, the biggest and least populated area of Hong Kong.

The new museum is the winner of many architectural awards for its unique design. The orange roofed building is patterned after a traditional “si he yuan” housing compound. Inside the museum is split into 12 exhibition galleries. 6 are rotating themed exhibits (a recent popular exhibition focused on the history of Pixar). There is also a Cantonese opera house and a popular children's discovery gallery with hands on activities and play zones.
