Like Seorak-san, Odae-san (Five Peaks Mountain) is a high-altitude massif; the best times to visit are late spring and early to mid-autumn, when the foliage colours are richest.
There are two main entrances to the park: from the south at Dongsan-ri and from the northwest at Sogeum-gang. The former leads to the temples and the main hiking trail.
