The displays here are smaller than those at the Nong Khai aquarium, but in some ways they're more impressive, with timber finishing and better lighting. It's a good place to get up close with some rather large specimens of Mekong catfish (Ъlah bèuk) . It's 6km west of town along Hwy 22. Sŏrng·tăa·ou to Na Kae (20B, 15 minutes) pass by. You can also get a taxi from the bus station to get you there and back for 100B.
