After Hurricane Flora in 1963, Brit Eleanor Alefounder converted her 36 hectares into a bird sanctuary. There are some short hiking trails and excellent bird-watching . Visitors can come to the reserve any time, but the best time to come is around the 4pm feeding time. To get there, follow signs inland opposite the Grafton Beach Resort.
