As you approach the main entrance to the so-called Courtyard of Honour, whose geometric gardens are now being replanted, notice the ornamental wrought-iron gate, a masterpiece of the rococo. You can only tour the palace with a guide, but armed with a fact sheet in English (available from the ticket office), try to lag behind and explore the rooms away from the crowds.
