This ye olde apothecary has a display of medicinal plants in the attic, some exceptional 18th-century oak furniture, medicinal herbs growing in the small garden and entertaining displays on medicine through the ages (including a periodic table with the elements personified – arsenic by a serpent and mercury by the fleet-footed deity in a winged helmet.
