Framing Skopje to the south, Vodno's popular with hikers, though a gondola up the mountainside operates too. Two restaurants stand at Sredno (Middle) Vodno (taxis drive here for 200MKD). Hiking trails take you to the 66m-high Millenium Cross (2002), the world's largest and illuminated at night.
