Zoomarine Algarve

Located in Guia, just west of Albufeira, Zoomarine Algarve is southern Portugal’s answer to SeaWorld in Orlando, providing endless days of family fun. This eight-hectare, marine-themed park is designed to be educational as well as entertaining; attractions include everything from informative exhibitions on conservation and adventures with dinosaurs to 4D movies uncovering the mysteries of the deep or the chance to stroke velvety manta rays. With gentle carousels for toddlers, roller coasters and big wheels for adrenaline junkies, or Rapid River rides to deliver a soaking to the whole family, there’s plenty to engage all ages.
The latest addition to the park is Zoomarine Beach, complete with saltwater swimming pools, scary water slides perfect for teenage daredevils and a sandy beach to chill out on. However, the undoubted stars of the show at Zoomarine are the animals; there’s an aquarium full of fearsome sharks and massive whales, birds of prey are flown in regular displays throughout the day and seals entertain with their clumsy antics at Wonderland. However, most visitors flock in to see the dolphins perform their spectacular acrobatic shows, while the ultimate in Zoomarine attractions is to get up close and personal with them at Dolphin Experience.
