You can’t miss the pine-covered promontory Monte Boi , dominated by the Fortaleza de Monterreal . The fortress, erected between the 11th and 17th centuries, is protected by an impenetrable 3km circle of walls. An enticing 40-minute walking trail loops the promontory’s rocky shoreline, which is broken up by a few small beaches.
