FC Barcelona Museum

Whether you’ve managed to snag tickets for a home game or booked on a behind-the-scenes tour of the legendary Camp Nou Stadium, a visit to the FC Barcelona Museum is a must for football fans. One of the city’s most popular museums, drawing an average of 1.2 million visitors each year, the FC Barcelona Museum is right next door to the stadium and offers an unbeatable glimpse into the city’s top football team.

Completely refurbished back in 2010, the ultra-modern museum now features a giant interactive glass touch screen, audiovisual displays and a 3D cinema, alongside its vast collection of football memorabilia, personal memoirs and photo galleries. The largest exhibition deals with the team’s illustrious history from its humble beginnings in 1899, through a stream of international championship winnings, to becoming the world’s second-richest football team. Next up, the ‘Futbolart’ exhibition displays football-themed artwork, photographs and memorabilia, including a vintage table football table and the boots with which Ronald Koeman scored the winning goal in the 1992 European Cup Final. One of the museum’s highlights is the Trophy Room, where an impressive collection of cups and medals chronicle the clubs’ many significant wins, and there’s even a chance to have your photo taken with the legendary European Champions League Cup. Look out for the museum’s acclaimed temporary exhibits too, devoted to the team’s key managers, players and historical moments.

The most popular way to visit the museum is as part of a Camp Nou Stadium tour, which includes the chance to walk the pitch inside Europe’s largest football stadium and peek into the team locker rooms, the Presidential box and the players’ tunnel.
