Maru Koala and Animal Park

Maru Koala and Animal Park

Phillip Island is known for its fascinating wildlife, but at Maru Koala and Animal Park, you can experience up close animal encounters before you even arrive on the island. Here, at this family owned park on the Victorian mainland, you’ll find koalas, emus, wallabies, dingoes, wombats, parrots, and ‘roos. Enjoy a guided tour with the park rangers to learn about Australia’s animals, or buy a ticket for a “close encounter” where you can feed, pet, cuddle, and play with baby Joey’s and bears. As if children won’t already love this place enough, there is also a pirate-themed, 18-hole mini-golf course you can enjoy after interacting with the animals. Before heading off for Phillip Island, grab a bite at the Homestead Bistro and discuss which animal is your favorite, whether it’s the soft gray fur of the lazy koalas or the slippery skin of a snake.
