The luxury Bangkok Siam Intercontinental, once a top hotel in the heart of the city at Siam Square, has been torn down, and is being replaced by the Paragon (currently under construction). Bangkok’s Inter-Continental hotel replaces a building that once housed Le Meridien. Also near the city centre, the Hilton Nai-Lert is rebranding and opening as a Raffles Hotel. Finally, Bangkok’s latest luxury offering is the newly opened Metropolitan on the site of the old YMCA.
