Photograph of the week: Riding the paraw in Boracay

The Philippines is proud of Boracay Island, hailed as one of the top beaches in the world. One of its attractions is riding the “paraw”, a double outrigger sail boat. The outriggers are made of bamboo, and the sailboat can glide smoothly in the waters, letting you enjoy a quiet ride around the island. It is best to take a paraw ride during sunset, and enjoy the scenery in the middle of the sea. It’s peaceful out there, with no motors purring as you sail along. Raymund Isaac, the country’s leading celebrity photographer and publisher of Where travel magazine, took this snapshot of the paraw, just before he sailed off into the sunset. It is indeed a must- try if you are visiting the island.
