What's on the menu?

Ever wondered what food you might be served on a business-only airline? Here’s what’s on the menu with Silverjet, created by the London restaurant Le Caprice, for the month of March:

London – New York daytime menu
This month’s daytime menu consists of salt beef and green bean salad or endive salad with figs and shaved pecorino. The main course is a choice of spatchcock baby chicken with spiced lentil salsa and rocket, roast fillet of haddock with colcannon and wild mushrooms, or risotto of butternut squash and parmesan. Dessert is blackberry, apple and blueberry jelly with Jersey cream, and a selection of cheese and fruit.

New York – London night-time menu
This month’s night-time menu is a light supper, with a selection of three dishes: braised lamb with colcannon and carrots, grilled fillet of North Atlantic salmon with spiced lentil salsa and rocket, or penne with wild mushroom sauce and shaved parmesan. Dessert is Häagen-Dazs ice cream, with a selection of cheese and fruit.

Breakfast can be either served onboard or packed up to take away depending on preference, and consists of fresh fruit and orange juice, with a choice of a warm croque-monsieur or raisin bagel with cream cheese.

London – Dubai night-time menu
This month’s night-time menu consists of a light supper of grilled lamb cutlets with bubble and squeak and wild mushrooms, salmon fillet with buttery mash and parsley sauce, or pea and Gorgonzola risotto. Dessert is hot seasonal fruit crumble with Jersey cream, and a selection of cheese and fresh fruit.

Breakfast can be either served onboard or packed up to take away depending on preference, and consists of fresh fruit, a smoothie, a yoghurt and a choice of a warm egg and Gruyère ciabatta or chocolate croissant.

Dubai – London daytime menu
This month’s daytime menu begins with a starter of smoked salmon or Arabic mezze. The main course is a choice of beef and mushroom pie with spinach and baby carrots, red snapper with creamy pesto sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans, or gnocchi in tomato and oregano sauce with shaved Parmesan. Dessert is strawberries and fresh cream, with a selection of cheese and fruit.

All meat served on flights to and from Dubai is halal.
