The 3 best ways to unwind in Paris after the holiday season

TIME : 2016/2/26 12:08:58

Once the excitement of the holiday season has passed and the chill of Winter has truly set in, what is the best way to decompress and welcome in the New Year with relaxed and open arms? Whether you’re looking to relax or simply ‘shop ’til you drop’, here are our favorite ways to relax in Paris after the busy holiday season.

Shangri-La Paris

Spa treatments

What better way to relax and shake off the bone-chilling cold outside than to step into a spa and treat yourself. Theres nothing quite like a deep tissue massage or body wrap followed by a soak in a 100+ degree bath to quickly wipe the thought of winter from your mind. The spas in Paris are nothing short of luxurious and offer the ultimate in pampering and rejuvenation. To start 2014 off fresh-faced and relaxed, we frequent Espace Payot, Nuxe (hint, hint, chocolate can be involved!) and La Grande Mosquee de Paris.

Live music

Nothing awakens the soul quite like music. One of our favorite ways to unwind after the frenetic pace of the holiday season is to take in a concert. The Atelier series at the American Cathedral is a wonderful start to the process. Afterwards, whether at your apartment or hotel, sit back, sip a glass andwell, you choose, people watch, read that book you never have time for or just dream!

January Sales

We know that this isnt so much a way to de-stress and relax (well perhaps for some), as it is a great way to start the New Year with a new wardrobe or just a piece that sets your apart from the madding crowd. From 8th January through to 12th February, the Winter sales will be in full swing in Paris. Find the best deals on pieces that you will have for a lifetime. Its the perfect first gift to yourself in the New Year!
