The car and driver will be available for up to 3 hours per day for your sightseeing, excursions or shopping needs meaning you can zip around the city at your leisure and see the best that New York has to offer.

The hotels concierge team have even created a series of self-guided three hour motoring tours to highlight the city sights. Each one can be accompanied with directions and customised tips available on a choice of iPhone or iPad for use during your Mini adventure.

Each stylish Mini Cooper is finished in the signature Peninsula Hotel green colour and is equipped with leather seats, a tailor made rooftop box to house any store purchases along with an iPhone mounting dock and a mini fridge stocked with cool drinks to keep you refreshed on your travels.

Guests simply need to book either a Junior Suite or a Junior Executive Suite at the hotel both of which include marble bathrooms, a 42 flat screen plasma TV and a whole host of in-room gadgets including a TV and radio system with hands free telephone in the bathroom, an iPod docking station and the obligatory high-speed wired and wireless internet access.
