The first 7 star luxury hotel in Venice

Billing itself as a 7 star luxury hotel, the Aman Canal Grande opened in Venice last May. Found within Palazzo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal, it has frescoed rooms by Tiepolo, a library room lined with original leather wallpaper, private gardens, a cosy spa and a dining room serving Italian and Asian dishes. Double rooms at the hotel start from 1,100 including VAT at 10% per room, but excluding breakfast and a 5 per person city tax.
