There is no shortage of entertainment in Hyderabad as the city offers visitors a host of exciting activities during the day and after dark. Amusement parks are the main source of entertainment in this area of India. An endless selection of rides provides much adrenalin-fuelled excitement for all the family.

Aside from the parks, the city has an array of outlets where visitors can relax and enjoy quality leisure time. Bowling alleys, snooker clubs and go-karting are popular in Hyderabad, while a handful of bars and clubs allow visitors to kick back and relax after a busy day of exploring the sights.

Hyderabad has a number of modern movie multiplexes which show Hollywood blockbusters as well as local big screen productions. The traditional puppet shows are also worth viewing, and are especially interesting for younger members of the family. Seeing such sights allows travelers to soak up the rich and varied culture of the city.

Amusement parks

Ocean Park and Treasure Island are the city's favorite playgrounds. Both adults and children can enjoy the huge selection of exciting rides and activities on offer. Water parks are the most fun as they provide a welcome escape from the stifling summer sun.

Bowling

Thunderbowl is a popular entertainment complex offering ten-pin bowling and much more. A ball pool provides a fun and safe play space for little ones, while the video game arcade caters for kids of all ages.

Movie theaters

Air-conditioned movie theaters showing the latest releases provide the perfect escape when the heat becomes too much. Most showings are in English with foreign subtitles, and there are movies to suit all age groups.

Puppet Theater

For more than 20 years this theater has staged both educating and entertaining shows using puppets. The shows are suitable for all ages, but are mainly aimed at school-age children.

Nightlife

The city's nightlife is relatively tame, with most bars and discos closing their doors at midnight. The best scene is based around Banjara Hills and Begumpet, and some of the most upmarket hotels have good bars and clubs.
