Indonesian blogger ‘tells it like it is’

TIME : 2016/2/25 13:55:43

The internet is full of ‘bules‘ yapping about their travels in Indonesia, and engaging in long conversations about Indonesia, the culture and the people. Many tourists and expats pride themselves in ‘telling it like it is’. We’ve all met a guy sitting at the bar with a Marlboro and a Bintang…’they’re all bloody useless mate, I’m just telling it like it is.”

Now the internet has an Indonesian blogger to chuck some of the muck back in the other direction. This guy’s name is Achmad and like his foreign counterparts, he likes the sound of his own voice, or should I say, his own keyboard. By his own admission he’s a talented little bugger and actually has a good sense of humour. I quite like the little benchong, especially the way he comes at you from different angles, never afraid to cross the line about ‘touchy issues’. As a fellow ‘Mus’ I’m happy he’s shedding light on the ‘Dark Side’, as most people are basically the same the world over.

One of Achmad’s posts that could cause a stir in Bali, is the one where he claims rugby league is for sissies, stating it reflects deep homo-erotic undercurrents. I don’t know about that, but I do know I’d keep my trap shut around Mal Meninga.

Stay tuned for more wit and cutting commentary from Indonesia’s own blogger.
