mamo homestayMamo Homestay is another one of the guest houses in Uluwatu. The actual name of the beach is Suluban, but the break gets called Uluwatu because of the temple on the cliff. Mamo Homestay is on the left hand turn off, on the road that leads from the Uluwatu temple to Padang Padang. As the road swing around you pass the route to Uluwatu, keep going until the road swings right, the left hander having a sign for Mamo. There is a convenience store on the corner across from the guest house.

mamo homestay baliMamo is not locate overlooking the ocean, but does have a garden and 6 nice clean rooms. The one I looked inside has a high bamboo, alang-alang roof with fan. None of the rooms have AC or hot water. The price of the rooms is 200,000rp per night, breakfast included. The family member I talked to told me it takes 5 minutes to get to Uluwatu from the guest house, via the road that leads down the cliff. Mamo has its own small warung serving typical Bukit food (western / Indonesian).
