Hikone Volunteer Guide

TIME : 2016/2/24 15:57:03

Hikone City in Shiga Prefecture has a volunteer guide program. Most are retired businessmen who want to practice their English skills and share their town with guests, but everyone in the program must be certified with the city. Guides in Chinese are also available. There are several suggested courses such as a castle and garden tour, or a walking tour of scenic areas. This is a great way to hear fun anecdotes and learn more about Hikone than you will find in guide books. You may also enjoy the chance to ask a resident about life in Japan.
