Take a small submarine for an underwater expedition in search of the lost city of Atlantis. See the dim ocean floor through portholes, getting glimpses of fish, kelp, and squid. The captain explains the sights in Japanese, but you can still enjoy the view without understanding the narration. Added fun is a spotlight that you can direct using a lever from inside the submarine, getting a better view of the passing scenery during the 5-minute ride.

The waiting area for the ride is an elaborate spiral staircase in the center of Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea. Take this down to the submarines, which each seat 6 people. The submarines are full of interesting gadgets and panels, but unfortunately the average adult might find them cramped and need to bend down to see out of the portholes well.

The front seats have the best view. Photos and videos are not permitted on the ride. The FastPass option is available, but lines can be variable, so assess the situation before stamping your passport. This can be a fun ride for the family, but due to the cramped conditions, possibly smaller members will enjoy it more
