One of the five Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, Ibiza is home to the rich and famous and is an up-and-coming wedding destination, a hot-spot for party animals and a haven for relaxation. The island is divided into municipalities which govern small towns, each possessing their own charm and picturesque church.

The north of the island is known for its peaceful atmosphere. Dense pine forests and rough country roads lead to a stunning coastline of idyllic, secluded coves boasting turquoise crystalline waters. Country houses make the perfect locations for yoga retreats and holistic healing is very popular. During the summer season, sunsets are incredible especially when combined with a drumming session on Benirras Beach.

Southern Ibiza and the capital

The south side of the island has become the trendy side and is predominantly populated by the jet setting crowd. Long, sandy beaches like Ses Salines and Es Cavallet are lined with stylish restaurants and luxury yachts are moored just off their shores. Playa den Bossa has a kicking music scene and is ideal for pre-clubbing with bars dotted all along the beach. For a cultural tour, visit the UNESCO Phoenician settlement a little further west just near the beach of Sa Caleta.

Ibiza Town, the capital of the island, is a hub of bars, restaurants and shops but also home of Dalt Vila, a monument to history and a World Heritage Site since 1999. One of the islands oldest clubs can be found in Ibiza Town so for a night you won't forget party at Pacha!

Eastern Ibiza

The whole of the East Coast is better known for small, family friendly resorts with sandy beaches and pretty towns, most of which can be reached by ferry, from one port to another. Small fishing villages can be visited here as well as hippie markets but there are no major clubs in the area, making it the perfect choice for a quiet vacation yet only a ten minute drive from the party scenes and clubs. In the town of Santa Eulalia, you can find the only river in the whole of the Baleares, with a charming Roman bridge over it.

Western Ibiza

Frequented mostly by crowds of fun loving party animals, western Ibiza is where we find San Antonio. The concentration of bars all within walking distance in the town center makes it a great place for socializing. Known for its nightlife but also for its unforgettable sunsets, the west coast has beautiful beaches as well as deep, transparent waters perfect for SCUBA diving. Boat charters and water sports are a favorite here.

Inland Ibiza

Although the center of the island lacks the lovely sea breeze and views, the Ibiza countryside is beautiful. The country paths are covered in wild herbs and orange, lemon, fig and olive trees line the valleys. Large fields of almond trees are particularly picturesque in early spring when they are blossoming and the rest of the land is covered by pine forests and huge vineyards.
