Nightlife & Entertainment in Blackpool

TIME : 2016/2/23 17:42:07
When the sun goes down in Blackpool, the home of the illuminations sparkles into life. Blackpool is the nation's seaside nightlife capital, and whether you want to grab a sparkly pink cowgirl hat, or taste freshly brewed local ales in atmospheric pubs, there’s something to make everyone’s night an unforgettable one.

While Blackpool’s nightlife is synonymous with glowing cocktails and DJs booming out the cheesy hits and 70s classics all night long, there are also real ale pubs for those in search of quieter imbibing time.

Leading the way for Blackpool’s nightlife is the Flagship, which pumps with music from the afternoon until early morning. There’s plenty of room for you to strut your stuff on the dance floor, or you can enjoy juicy pineapple cocktails while recharging your batteries in the comfy seating area. Friendly staff, free entry, and drinks for pennies makes The Flagship a great place to start - or end - your night.

The Taps

If you’re a real ale aficionado, then you have to get over to Lytham St Annes where you’ll feel like a kid in a sweetshop as the creaking levers of The Taps pump out foamy beers. With a minimum of 11 real ales and ciders on offer at any time, you’ll taste everything from sharp citrus to chocolate as you work your way through the line up. Be sure to try the spooky Pendle Witches’ Brew - a mysterious golden ale, based on a tale of local witchcraft and murder, which led to the hanging of "witches" on Pendle Hill in 1612.

Cheese-tastic venues

Let's not beat about the bush: Blackpool is the place where people come to let their hair down and have a good old boogie to disco hits. Leave airs and graces outside when you enter one of the pumping venues. Flares

Primp up your perm, splay your collar wide, and point your finger to the disco ball at Flares. This 70s themed club pumps out funky hit after funky hit, and the flashing squares on the dance floor form the perfect stage to show off your moves. Be warned - you can’t enter Flares without coming down with a serious case of night fever.

Cabaret and entertainment

Get a little bit of everything at Blackpool’s cabaret venues, where you’ll tuck into delicious dinners before belly-laughing to comedians and clapping along with raucous dance routines. Entertainment in Blackpool doesn’t get bigger or brasher than this.

Long live this unique cabaret venue in Blackpool, which has 3 rooms offering a wide variety of entertainment, and is the ideal place to get any hen party started. Live music

Blackpool doesn’t just specialise in sticks of rock - rocking bands also get the crowds jumping. The local stages have vibrated to the sounds of everyone from Bob Dylan to the Beatles over the years, and the world’s top artists still make a special effort to play below Blackpool’s shining lights.

This iconic venue’s regal decorations and sparkling chandeliers provide a spectacular backdrop to raucous rock and roll shows. Whether it’s snarling guitars and pounding drums, or the subtle tinkling of pianos, a concert in this spectacular room will burn itself into your memory forever.
