Contrasted against the history and heritage of Guildhall Market, the Georgian-style Southgate Shopping Centre is a modern development full of the most popular high street names. The contemporary, light atmosphere highlights the modernity of Bath, whilst the Georgian exterior points to the city’s celebrated connection to the Regency era. Inside you will find everything from well-known electrical retailers to high-end fashion and jewellery stores. If you need to refuel, there's an array of coffee shops and restaurants in the Vaults area.

 

Milsom Quarter

 

 

Milsom Quarter is a stylish and more upmarket area of central Bath great for designer fashion boutiques and chic eateries. With pristine streets, cobbled courtyards, and winding alleyways, you'll uncover a range of stores selling everything from designer clothing to scented beauty products and modern artworks. At the heart of Milsom Quarter is Milsom Place, which is dense with some of the city’s most fashionable eateries, independent stores, and pop-up shops. Milsom Place is an ideal place to end your spree, as there are a host of bars and restaurants as well as live music to enjoy when the shopping ends and the evening begins.

 

Artisan Quarter

 

 

Walcot Street and London Road have long been the location of Bath’s independent and alternative stores, where you can find everything from vintage clothing to antiques and organic health-food shops. Expect to find an eclectic collection of goods from passionate independent retailers as well as some of the most interesting foodie hotspots in the city. The Artisan Quarter also has a weekly flea market with everything from second-hand furniture and books to decadent retro clothing.  

 

Western Bath

 

 

Western Bath is where the majority of the city’s smaller traders gather in the covered markets and halls. The farmer’s market at Green Park Station is a Bath tradition, where you can source the freshest local produce including fruit and vegetables, succulent meat and artisan cheeses. There's also the vintage and antiques market on the first and last Sunday of each month, selling everything from classic telephones to unique trinkets to jewellery and clothing.
