Guests that choose Fair Wind Big Island Ocean Guides for their vacation will have a chance to sail across the ocean’s surface while experiencing the breathtaking sights of Kona Coast. Fair Wind Big Island Ocean Guides offer two boats for tours, including the Hula Kai and the Fair Wind II.

In the morning and afternoon, Fair Wind II offers a deluxe snorkel cruise that allows guests to enjoy their trip for 2 ½ hours while having fresh coffee and breakfast. Cheese and Garden burgers are also provided for lunch. A 15 foot water slide accommodates all ages, allowing fun and excitement while sailing to the destination.

When the Fair Wind II arrives at the destination, guests will be able to snorkel with one on one snorkeling instruction, and tools provided by the establishment. They will also be able to use inner tubes and other fun activities.

The Hula Kai includes a similar cruise to the Fair Wind II, with additions such as diving experiences and gear. A tropical breakfast and Gourmet BBQ is also provided during the cruise for breakfast and lunch. Hula Kai also offers a unique Whale watch in the afternoon from the days of December 20th to March 31st.

Hours of Operation
Hours of operation vary depending on the activity and reservations chosen. Most boats leave at 9:00am and 2:00pm. The AM snorkeling with Fair Wind II departs at 9:00am and returns at 2:00pm. The PM snorkeling departs at 2:00pm and returns at 6:30pm. PM snorkeling is only available during summer months. The Hula Kai departs at 9:30am for the AM snorkeling, and 3:00pm for the PM.

The boat returns at 2:30pm and 7:15pm respectively. Guests should note that from November 1st to December 14th, children under the age of 5 will not be allowed on any cruise for safety reasons. All check in times are 30 minutes prior to departure.
