Dining at M Resort

TIME : 2016/2/25 15:59:15

People who visit the Las Vegas Strip might wonder why they should make the trip all the way out the M Resort, which is located several miles south of Mandalay Bay. If there is one reason above all others to hightail it out to the resort, it’s the food. All of the eating establishments except for one are exclusive to M Resort, and many offer outdoor seating as well as innovative culinary experiences.

Marinelli’s

The Italian restaurant at M Resort offers more than the standard Italian dishes. Though guests certainly have the opportunity to order from an array of pasta entrees, they will also find risottos, seafood, veal and other assorted dishes on the menu, many of which come from the Marnell family recipe book. An open kitchen (generally a standard feature across M Resort restaurants) allows guests the opportunity to watch food being prepared. Outdoor terrace seating offers views overlooking the pool area.

Open for dinner from 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

Anthony’s Steakhouse

This restaurant and oyster bar is located off of the main lobby of M Resort. Seafood (served in stews, cocktails, pastas and other ways) and high-quality cuts of meat are the highlights of Anthony’s Steakhouse, which offers both indoor dining and terrace seating that overlooks the pool plaza.

Open for dinner only Sunday-Thursday from 5:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

Veloce Cibo

M Resort’s response to the likes of the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas and Top of the World at Stratosphere is Veloce Cibo, which definitely rivals the other restaurants in Las Vegas that boast stellar views of the Las Vegas Strip. In the case of Veloce, the view really is unparalleled. The restaurant and connected bar, located on the sixteenth floor, offer a panoramic view of the Strip from afar. As for the menu, small table plates are a specialty, though there is also a large selection of sushi and sashimi as well.

Open Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m.-midnight.

Studio B Show Kitchen Buffet

Las Vegas is cluttered with buffets, but few rival the atmosphere and selection of M Resort’s buffet, Studio B. Considered by some to be the best buffet in Las Vegas, eating at Studio B is more than just a meal … it’s a dining experience. There are massive floor-to-ceiling windows, so natural sunlight spills across the room, and live cooking demonstrations in the dining space make for a visually appealing and interesting experience. As for dining itself, guests can choose from an array of side dishes and entrees, though the pastry and dessert spreads are especially noteworthy. Beer and wine are available at no additional cost. Though the buffet seats 600 people, there are often long lines to get in, especially for special occasions such as Mother’s Day and Easter.

Hours of operation vary by day, but the buffet opens at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast during the week and at 9:00 a.m. for brunch on the weekends.

Vig Deli

Located conveniently next to the race and sports book, Vig Deli serves up an array of sandwiches, soups, pizzas and specialty items including corned beef and meatballs.

Open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. -7:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.

Baby Cakes

Get your breakfast or munchie fix at Baby Cakes, a European-inspired patisserie filled with pastries, cakes, artisan breads, homemade gelato and a wide variety of coffees. Led by Chef Jean-Claude Canestrier, Baby Cakes offers casual seating and is conveniently located by the hotel’s lobby.

Open Sunday through Thursday 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.

Hash House A Go Go

This is the only restaurant at M Resort that even remotely resembles a chain establishment. Except for Hash House, all other restaurants at the property are exclusive to the resort. Hash House is known for its pseudo-whimsical, oversized farmers’ breakfasts. Menu items include chicken bacon waffles, biscuits and gravy and homemade hash. The meals are huge; don’t be surprised if you can’t eat it all in one sitting!

Open Sunday through Thursday 7:00 a.m.- 11:00pm and Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m.-2:00 a.m.
