Las Vegas Outlet Center

TIME : 2016/2/25 16:00:40

If you’ve come to Las Vegas to go shopping, you can drop a wad of cash at one of the luxury shopping centers in town or you can hit up one of the outlets malls, get more bang for your buck and leave the city with something to show for your vacation.

The Las Vegas Outlet Center, located south of Mandalay Bay, is home to 130 stores. Unlike the Las Vegas Premium Outlets, this outlet mall is located entirely indoors and is air conditioned, which is a welcome relief to visitors, especially during the sizzling summer months. It is a large building, spread out across a generous plot of land with an annex on one end of the building. If you’re planning on making your way through the entire mall, come prepared with good walking shoes and the stamina to shop until you drop.

Admittedly, many people aren’t as excited about this outlet mall as they are about other shopping venues in town, probably because most shops in the Las Vegas Outlet Center are relatively middle-of-the-road. While there are a few higher-end stores, many of the stores here are well known throughout America, but the key to shopping here is the prices, which will make you and your wallet happy.

Clothing stores range from business to casual wear to party clothes. Anne Taylor, Billabong, Dickies, Dressbarn, Jones New York, Levi’s, Perry Ellis, Wet Seal and Zumiez are just a few of the shops found here. If shoes are your thing, prepare for nearly 30 shops that cater to your needs, while a different assortment of stores carry children’s clothing, housewares, luggage, home furnishings and accessories.

There are two food courts at the Las Vegas Outlet Center, located at either end of the mall. Dining options are strictly fast food. Near the blue food court there is an old-fashioned carousel, which offers a different sort of diversion, should need a break from the Las Vegas shopping scene altogether.

The Las Vegas Outlet Center is located at 7400 South Las Vegas Boulevard, 2.5 miles south of the Strip. You’ll need a rental car or taxi to reach it, or take advantage of one of the following buses: Strip & Downtown Express, Route 117 or Route 217.

Regular hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Hours may change due to holidays or special events; check the website for the Las Vegas Outlet Center or call ahead to confirm that the mall is open.
