FIREFLY Tapas & Kitchen Bar

TIME : 2016/2/25 16:02:09

Regardless of where you’re traveling, tapas bars are an ideal choice for those times when you’re not quite sure what exactly you feel like eating. In Las Vegas, FIREFLY offers guests the opportunity to order from a wide variety of tapas choices while providing an ambiance and vibe unlike any other restaurants in Las Vegas.

FIREFLY’s menu is broken down by chilled tapas, hot tapas, meat and poultry tapas, seafood tapas and entrees, with vegetarian options mixed in among those. The selection is impressive and ranges from basic options such as garden salads, stuffed peppers and manchego mac and cheese to more sophisticated choices including patatas bravas (red potatoes in spicy aioli), crispy duck rolls and tuna tartare. One of my dining partners convinced me to try the stuffed dates despite my aversion to dates normally, and they were absolutely fantastic. This extensive menu selection, which ranges from $3.50-$10.00 per plate, makes FIREFLY a good place for large parties, families and picky eaters to dine, if for no reason than there simply is something for everyone here.

Plates do range in size depending on what you order, but generally two or three plates is sufficient for a person. Make the most of the meal by ordering a few for yourself, and then share with the other people around you. This is also a good place for solo diners, as the tapas plates allow a single person to build the perfect-sized meal.

FIREFLY’s drink menu is fairly standard, with a fun selection of sangrias, flavored mojitos, martinis, beers, wines and after-dinner drinks. Prices are just a bit cheaper here than you’ll find at other Las Vegas restaurants on the Strip. Expect to pay $4.00 for a beer and $6.00-$8.00 for a cocktail.

FIREFLY has two locations in Las Vegas, one on Paradise Road and one in downtown Las Vegas at The Plaza. If you want a truly unique dining experience, I highly recommend you choose the restaurant at The Plaza. Located on the second floor, FIREFLY is encased in glass on all sides with a high glass ceiling above. It overlooks the Fremont Street Experience, which is brilliantly lit up at night. This particular restaurant is worth eating at for the view alone and is especially ideal for a romantic night out on the town.

Tapas plates at FIREFLY are served as they are prepared, so meals are leisurely and relaxed. Feel free to take your time tasting your way through the dishes as they arrive, sipping a cocktail and enjoying the view and company in the restaurant.
