Vegas Show News: America’s Got Talent; Charo Cancels; Ignite to End

TIME : 2016/2/25 16:07:56

The third season of the hit reality contest TV show America’s Got Talent may be over, but the Vegas version is about to begin.

americasgottalentliveOriginal AGT host Jerry Springer is set to reprise his emcee role for America’s Got Talent Live!, the stage production that will start October 7 at Planet Hollywood. So far the show is set for a limited run that will end on December 13, 2009 – unless of course, it does well with ticket sales.

Also appearing live will be Season 3′s top four: top winner Kevin Singer, the unemployed chicken catcher-turned singer from Kentucky; opera singer/cancer survivor Barbara Padilla, percussionists Recycled Percussion; and country singing trio the Texas Tenors; along with 75-year-old comedic finalist Grandma Lee.

Tickets for each Wednesday through Sunday 7 pm performance run from $63.95 to $103.95 and are available at the Planet Hollywood box office and via Ticketmaster.

Entertainment legend Charo has canceled her shows until further notice due to an injury she sustained while performing at the Jerry Lewis Telethon earlier this month.

No word on what that injury was or when she’s expected back, only a vague November 2009, but I think it’s proof positive that “coochie-coochie-coo” thing can be dangerous if done incorrectly.

If you’re holding tickets for any upcoming canceled show, call the Riviera box office at 877-892-7469 to discuss your options.

Ignite, the show fronted by Bite castmember Antonio Restivo, is set to close at the Greek Isles Hotel. After 100 shows, September 29 is the last date set for the production’s run. If you want to see it before it’s gone, there is a special $20 ticket offer, just mention the code FIRE at the box office.

No word on if the show will return elsewhere, but you can still see Restivo as the lead vamp in Bite at the Stratosphere Hotel. Tickets for this show are $49.95 and are available at the hotel box office. The show runs every night except Thursday at 10:30pm.
