AJ’s Steakhouse at the Hard Rock Hotel is officially closing for good after ten years of serving up fine steaks. I guess with AGO in full swing, it was time, but they’re going out in style, by offering up a special last menu that has prices up to 25% off the 2008 cost. This “Dine Like Its 1999″ menu harkens back to when the restaurant first opened. The restaurant will also have music courtesy of a local pianist every Friday and Saturday from 9pm on.

The final night to dine is Saturday, December 13th, and the restaurant is open 5:30pm to 10pm Tuesday through Thursday, and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Call 702.693.5500 for more details or reservations.

SushiSamba at The Shoppes at the Palazzo, is offering two “Drink the Vote” special concoctions in honor of this week’s election day. The Obamarama is made with muddled lemon, blueberries and sugar mixed in with Pearl blueberry vodka, blue curacao and club soda. The Maverick is a combination of muddled raspberries with sugar, raspberry rum, triple sec, grenadine and unsweetened white tea. Each is priced at $11.

The Review-Journal has an online coupon good for a buy one-get one free offer on the Terrible’s buffet, good for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Even better, they will honor the coupon as half-off for solo diners. The only caveat is the user must be a Players Club member, but that’s free to join. The coupon is valid through November 30, 2008.

Brand Steakhouse at the Monte Carlo is home to a 120 steak, priced at $267. But if you can eat it, with all the fixings and sides, Chef Brian Massie says it’s on the house. Keep in mind, this is a lot of food, though – in fact it’s listed as being a steak for six on the menu – and so far, of all the attempts, only one person has been able to finish it by himself.  I’m sure he exploded afterwards.

Boyd Gaming is expanding the dining options at its Vegas properties by inviting in more name brand chain eateries. T.G.I.Friday’s are going in at Gold Coast, Sam’s Town and Suncoast, with the ones at Gold Coast and Sam’s Town offering a breakfast menu. The Orleans already has at TGIF, but this fall gains a new Fuddruckers (mmm…), along with new Sbarro and Baskin-Robbins eateries.
