New Sportsbook Venue Open at The Palazzo

TIME : 2016/2/25 16:10:18

In what is surely one of the fastest turnarounds of a nightlife space in Vegas history, The Palazzo already has their new Sportsbook Bar & Grill open to the public.

The Palazzo]The ink has been barely dry on the sale of Jay-Z’s now-defunct 40/40 Club back to the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, which owns The Palazzo, but now, only three weeks later, the venue is already open for business.

The new version of the space serves as both a sportsbook, with five betting stations, and a bar & grill, offering up classic game-time food and drink while you watch your favorite teams play on over 70 big-screen TVs. The venue also features select table games and slot machines for those who like to continue to gamble while they wait on a game to play out.

A full food menu is available online, though, to be honest, the prices are quite high, even for Vegas Strip standards. A basic cheeseburger will set you back $16 and a grilled cheese is priced at $10. You’d better hope a bet pays off before you place your order at these prices.

Of course it helps that the 40/40 Club already had the kitchen and plenty of seating areas, but instead of turning into a nightclub at night, it’s all sports action from open to close, with the addition of those betting windows. The resort also opted to utilize much of the existing decor, to allow for a faster turnaround on the venue.

The Sportsbook is open from 11am until 11pm from Monday through Thursday. Hours are extended on weekends, with Friday hours running 11am until midnight, Saturday hours from 8:30am until midnight, and Sunday hours from 8:30am until 11pm.

The Sportsbook Bar and Grill is located on the lower level of The Palazzo, adjacent to the Lamborghini showroom (handy if you win that big bet).
