October is for Car Enthusiasts in Vegas

Car enthusiasts in Vegas have a quartet of events taking place in October that are sure to please. From classic cars to the latest dream cruisers, here’s a look at events you’ll not want to miss:

If you prefer your motor events old school, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is hosting two events this weekend that may be more your speed.

Bugorama starts Thursday, October 4th, and runs through Sunday, October 7th, and is dedicated to Volkswagen enthusiasts. Events include a racing event Thursday, cruise nights Friday and Saturday and 1/4 drag racing and a car show on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12 years old.

Rockabilly Hot Rods in Las VegasMeanwhile Saturday, October 6th, the speedway also plays host to the fourth annual Rockabilly Rod Reunion, an event dedicated to pre-1965 custom cars. The day-long fest will feature live music, drag racing, a pin-up girl contest and swap meet. Ticket are available via the Las Vegas Motor Speedway box office.

Later in the month, Montelago Village at Lake Las Vegas hosts the annual Endless Summer Classic Car Show with live music from 3 For All and Tripsitter. The October 28th event costs $25 to enter, but is free to attend.

That weekend, Montelago Village also hosts the World Class Driving Event, on both October 26th and 28th. Take fantasy cars like the Ferrari F430, Porsche GT3, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes SLR McLaren and more out for a spin, but the price will set you back a cool $1199. You also must be over 25 and the price includes a continental breakfast, beverages (non-alcoholic), snacks and pictures of you driving the cars. Of course, you can just go ogle the cars for free, including the $480,000 McLaren.
