Richard Branson Takes to the Sea and Announces Miami as the Soon-To-Be Virgin Cruises Home Port

We all knew the Virgin Cruise Line was coming—mostly thanks to British businessman Richard Branson's announcement last December. Today, he shared that Miami will serve as the main port for the new cruises. The plan is to have three new ships sailing come 2020. This new travel option adds to Branson's ever-growing resume, following Virgin Airlines, Virgin Records, and Virgin Galactic.

If his entertainment-focused airline is any hint as to what we can expect on the new ships, we're leaning toward soft mood lighting, adrenaline-pumping music, and the potential to text/send drinks to other shipmates from the comfort of your bed via in-room screen.
