Some 15km from the park entrance and well signposted, the aptly named Leviathan, the second-longest lava tube in the world at 12km, was formed by hot lava flowing beneath a cooled crust. You’ll need full caving equipment to explore it, and perhaps a bit of prior experience spelunking in claustrophobic conditions.
