This busy street hosts many colonial buildings that are grand in their decay. No. 24 was the headquarters of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) that continues the struggle began by Ken Saro-Wiwa. Ironically, at No. 40 there's a court house where the Nigerian writer was charged with sedition.
