Set aside as a retirement village for overseas Chinese, Héshùn is of more interest as a traditional Chinese village with cobbled streets. It sees increasing numbers of daytrippers, but there are some great old buildings in the village, providing lots of photo opportunities. The village also has a small museum (博物馆; bówùguǎn ) and a famous old library (图书馆; túshūguǎn ).
