At the foot of the climb, about 15km from Kūnmíng, is Huátíng Temple, a country temple of the Nanzhao kingdom believed to have been constructed in the 11th century. It’s one of the largest in the province and its numerous halls are decorated with arhats. A combined ¥25 ticket allows admission here and to Tàihuá Temple.
