Contrary to its misleading name, this museum focuses not on modern technology but on the traditional lifestyles and practices of Brunei's ethnic groups. The somewhat outdated displays on life in a Malay water village (stilt architecture, boat making, fishing techniques, handicrafts) and a Murut (Lun Bawang) longhouse have a certain charm to them. The 39 bus passes along Jln Kota Batu, from where the museum is a five-minute walk down the hill.
