This ambitious arts complex, still under construction at the time of research, houses galleries, performance spaces, a library and plazas – all designed to boost Gwangju's capital in the art world. It's located on the main site of the May 18 Uprising; the old Provincial Hall building, the target of the protests, has been retained.
