This is a series of arched bridges leading to a small coral island that was once a promontory joined to the mainland. The island's three large stone formations have been likened to the three immortals of Chinese mythology – hence the name.
Sansiantai is a very pleasant spot to wander, although on holidays and weekends it's a bit of a madhouse with the tour-bus crowds.
