The Holocaust-Denkmal (2000) is the focal point of Judenplatz and a memorial to the 65,000 Austrian Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Designed by British sculptor Rachel Whiteread, this ‘nameless library’ depicts books with their spines facing inwards, representing the untold stories of Holocaust victims; it's embellished with the names of Austrian concentration camps.

The northern side of Judenplatz is occupied by the former Böhmische Hofkanzlei , with a striking facade by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Walk around to Wipplingerstrasse to see this.
