The Stadtpfarrkirche St Jakob dominates the old town and has frescoes, a stuccoed ceiling and a vast rococo altar in gold leaf, arrayed with fresh flowers. The walls are studded with the ornate memorial plaques of the region’s noble families. Each summer a pair of falcons nests in the Stadtpfarrturm .
