The size of Mikulov's forlorn Jewish cemetery, numbering around 4000 tombstones, is a testament to the importance of the Jewish community to the town over the centuries. The oldest surviving headstone dates back to 1605. Enter through the former Ceremonial Hall , which holds a small exhibition on the town's Jewish history and Jewish burial traditions.
