Himmelbjerget

TIME : 2016/2/18 17:36:00

The Lake District's most visited spot is the whimsically named Himmelbjerget (Sky Mountain), which, at just 147m, is one of Denmark's highest hills. It was formed by water erosion during the final Ice Age as a 'false hill' or kol, the sides of which are quite steep. There are a number of interesting memorials surrounding the hilltop's crowning glory, the 25m-tower (admission Dkr10), reached via a marked 6km footpath north east of Ry, or by bus or boat.
