Gatwick Airport (LGW)

The UK’s largest airport after Heathrow, Gatwick (LGW) serves more destinations than any other UK airport, with flights to and from more than 200 cities in 90 countries around the globe. Those traveling to London Gatwick will be in good company—more than 34 million passengers pass through the airport’s two terminals each year, and the airport is ideally situated for visiting both London and South East England.
Proud of its status as the "most efficient single-runway airport in the world," Gatwick is also well served with amenities—VIP lounges, children’s play areas, prayer rooms, left-luggage and currency exchange desks can all be found at both terminals, and there’s a vast range of high street and designer shops offering tempting discounts, plus a huge selection of bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Practical Info

Gatwick Airport is located 30 miles (48 km) south of Central London and is connected by public transport, taxi and private transfer to the city and London’s other airports. The fastest way to get to the airport is on the Gatwick Express train from London Victoria, which runs every 15 minutes and takes about 30 minutes, but other options include First Capital Connect trains, Southern trains and National Express coach.
