Ham House

The historic 17th-century Ham House is located along the idyllic River Thames in the scenic area of Richmond. Both travelers and locals flock to this grand establishment, known for its collection of beautiful paintings, handcrafted furniture and unique textiles—many of which were acquired more than 400 years ago.  Travelers can wander the grounds, where kitchen herbs and a heritage crop garden offer the perfect escape for an afternoon picnic. Visitors can also explore the halls filled with ornate pieces, like an impressive hand-made ivory cabinet, then head below the regal stairs, where a restored bathroom, including a handmade wooden bathtub, shows visitors how regal Brits once lived.
